par Sébastien Villotte - publié le

You will support human osteological research within the Department of Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology (ACE) focusing on the development of specific research areas within the broad field of evolutionary medicine – morphology and the evolution of bipedalism. Under the direction of Professor Keith Dobney (and with close co-operation with other colleagues in ACE), your main tasks will be to explore advanced morphometric techniques as they relate to skeletal health ; create protocols for systematic data collection ; generate proof-of-concept datasets which can be used as the basis for new research trajectories and prepare publications and funding applications. You should have a PhD in Biological Anthropology and will be expected to support aspects of teaching in human osteology, palaeopathology and evolutionary medicine, participating in the developing Medical Humanities initiative at the University. The post is available until 30 September 2017.
